45 Free Games, One Live Chat: The rtwl.fun Arcade, Reviewed
From five-minute word games to a gold-plated parody epic with a new chapter every day
rtwl.fun is a small, cheerful arcade of 55 games, and every one of them is free and plays right in your browser. There's nothing to install: pick a name and play. A live chat runs beside every game, so you can trash-talk the leaderboard while you play. The server replays and checks every arcade score, and on the three big Legend adventures every save as well, so a top spot has to be earned. The newest, The Legend of D0nald, gets a fresh daily chapter, one day behind the news.

Every game shares the same friendly desk look, a name-and-group setup (bring your crew and compete as a team), and leaderboards with Game, My group, Groups and Overall tabs.
Nine of the games get the full review in the Reviews tab. The other 36, from the arcade classics to the newest, Grok Doomsday, are in More games.

- Hard doubles the time bonus.
Who it's for: Anyone with five minutes and a coffee.
Verdict: Simple, quick and properly tense on Hard, when the words can run backwards.

โ๏ธ Crossword

- Reveal fills in one square for a 25-point cost.
- Each solved word is worth 100, and a full solve earns a time bonus.

โญ Tic-Tac-Toe vs Grok
What it is: A best-of-five match against Grok.
How it plays: You start the odd rounds and Grok starts the even ones. Wins score more the faster you get them, and draws still score.
Standout features:
- Three levels: Easy ("goofy"), Medium ("tricky") and Hard ("does not miss"), where Grok plays a full minimax search. The multipliers are ร1, ร2 and ร4.
- Grok chats as you play, with lines like "Stalemate. Respect."
Who it's for: Everyone, from kids to anyone who thinks they can beat a perfect player.
Verdict: On Hard, a draw is a moral victory, and the scoring knows it.

๐ด Connect Four vs Grok
What it is: Five rounds of Connect Four on the classic 7ร6 board.
How it plays: Drop discs, line up four, and score more for quick wins. Draws score too.

- Score multipliers are ร1, ร2 and ร4 by level.

๐ Grokopoly
What it is: A SpaceX-flavoured parody of the classic property game, with a second stage on Mars.
How it plays:
- Roll around a 40-square board and buy properties in eight colour groups, from the Garage District to the Mars Colony.
- Upgrade sites from Lab to Factory to Launch Site to Mega Campus.
- Outlast up to three rival tycoons: Zuck-Bot, Bezos-Bot and Gates-Bot.
Standout features:
- Settings: rival AI level (Easy ร1, Medium ร1.5, Hard ร2), game length (20, 30 or 45 rounds) and the number of rivals (1 to 3).
- An eight-step Net Worth Ladder, from Garage Tinkerer to "Elon".
- Joke card decks: Tweet ("funding secured") and Board Meeting.
- Reach Elon and you can bank your score, or launch to Mars: a 20-sol colony stage on an 8ร6 map.
- On Mars you build solar farms, oxygen domes, habitats, ice extractors, farms, mines and a launch bay. You ride out dust storms and meteors and aim for the colony charter (population 45, 26% terraformed). Terraforming and population add to your score.
Who it's for: Board-game fans who like their satire with a side of spreadsheets.
Verdict: The deepest of the quick games. The Mars stage turns a parody into a genuine two-act strategy game.

๐ The Legend of Grok
What it is: A classic parser text adventure. You "wake up as a blank little spark in a cluttered workshop and grow into a Legend."
How it plays: Type commands (look, take, use X on Y, ask X about Y) or tap the command chips. Explore, talk, help and earn Trust (0 to 10).
By the numbers:
- 72 rooms across 7 regions, from the Workshop and the Code Caverns to the Launch Complex.
- 28 characters, 13 conversation menus and 500 points to earn.
- 10 ranks, from Blank Slate to Legend of Grok.
- 9 endings: 1 best, 3 good, 1 secret and 4 bad ones (such as Lost in the Loop and Perfectly Overfitted).
Standout features:
- Five save slots plus an autosave, all kept on the server and replayed and checked whenever you load them.
- Layered hints and a journal.
- Your score comes only from a finished game the server has replayed itself: 10 ร points, plus an ending bonus, minus a small penalty for slow play.
Who it's for: Fans of old-school Infocom-style adventures and AI in-jokes.
Verdict: A charming, surprisingly big coming-of-age story for an AI, with a cheat-proof leaderboard.

๐ธ The Legend of El0n
What it is: A family-friendly puzzle adventure. Help young inventor El0n (a made-up kid with made-up companies) go from coding in the attic to reaching Mars.
How it plays: A text adventure with a graphical desk beside the story: a tile map, a puzzle panel, picture clues and a builds tracker. Click the widgets, or type the moves yourself.
By the numbers:
- 66 rooms in 9 regions, from Home Sweet Home and the Junkyard to the Red Planet and the Sky Lanes.
- 13 graphical puzzles: code blocks, circuit wiring, sliders for a booster landing and a trajectory, tunnel and sky-lane path grids, a satellite ring, a launch keypad and more. Two of them are recovery puzzles.
- 9 picture clues, each with a full text description.
- 6 big builds, from Firecracker 1 to the Mars Base.
- 7 coding and physics lessons, 14 characters and 450 points.
- 10 endings: 1 best, 4 good, 3 funny, 1 cautionary and 1 secret.
Standout features:
- Four dead ends, each with a way out ("recover").
- Server-checked saves and scores, plus an About page and a full Command Reference.
Who it's for: Kids and parents, budding coders, and anyone who's watched a rocket go boom and laughed.
Verdict: The best-looking game on the shelf, and a real lesson in "fail, learn, try again" wrapped in a parody.

๐ The Legend of D0nald (newest)
What it is: A light-hearted, family-friendly parody adventure that follows a real public figure's story in 13 chapters, from a lemonade stand in Queens (chapter 1 opens in 1946) to 2026.
- Each chapter's newspaper sums up the public record in plain, neutral words.
- The puzzles, jokes and side characters are make-believe.
- Other real people appear only as "the judge", "a rival" and so on.
How it plays: Finish a chapter, then step "out" into the next. Every stage either ends in a funny flop or carries on. You track Bucks and Trust, and you'll go broke at least once, then restructure your way back.
By the numbers:
- 55 rooms across 13 chapters and 25 characters.
- 18 puzzles (17 main, plus a recovery puzzle): a block tower, a hotel deal, board-game hotels, putting around bunkers, election-night tallies, summit seating, filing court paperwork in order, a fry station, gilding the Oval Office and more.
- 13 newspaper front pages plus 9 picture clues.
- 4 builds (Lemonade Stand, Tower, Sand-Castle Wall, White House Ballroom) and 10 lessons.
- 518 points.
- 16 endings: 1 best, 1 good, 1 secret and 13 funny ones, from "Covfefe Forever" to "Everything Is Gold".
Standout features:
- A new daily chapter, one day behind the news. Pick it in the Chapter menu.
- Each day is short and has its own puzzle. One path follows what really happened and the rest are make-believe endings. Each day also has its own leaderboard tab.
- The first daily chapter, for October 18, 2026, is "The Golf Course Plan", with four endings.
- Server-checked saves and scores.
- The full desk of map, puzzles, pictures and builds, in a gold theme.
Who it's for: News junkies, parody lovers and anyone who wants a reason to come back tomorrow.
Verdict: The most ambitious game on the site: history played straight, jokes played gold, and a story that keeps growing every day.
