Grok Lemmings
An original puzzle game. A stream of little Groklings drops out of the hatch and marches on, whatever is in front of them. Hand out the right skills at the right moment to guide enough of them into the glowing exit portal.
How to play
- Type a name and press Register once if you want your scores on the leaderboard. Without a name you play practice games.
- Press Start game (or Enter, or tap the playfield). Each level opens with a card showing its name, how many Groklings you must save, the skills you have and a tip.
- Pick a skill on the buttons (or keys 1 to 8), then click or tap a Grokling to give it that skill. With Hints on, the Grokling you would pick is outlined.
- Save at least the number shown to clear the level. If you don't, you can try again: you have 3 tries, plus an extra one every five levels cleared (up to 5).
The eight skills
- Gecko: climbs any wall it meets. It stays a Gecko for the rest of the level.
- Glider: opens a little brolly on long drops, so it doesn't splat. Also for keeps.
- Fizzer: counts down from 5, then pops, blasting a hole in rock and bricks. The Grokling is lost.
- Stopper: stands still with arms out, and the others turn round when they reach it.
- Bricker: lays a staircase of 12 bricks. It stops early if it bumps into something.
- Puncher: tunnels straight through rock in front of it.
- Driller: digs a slope down and forwards.
- Scooper: digs straight down until it breaks through.
Grey steel plates can't be dug, punched or blasted. Green acid is deadly. A fall of more than about 7 Grokling-heights is too far without a Glider.
Release rate, freeze, fast-forward and nuke
- Rate +/− changes how quickly Groklings come out of the hatch. It can't go below the level's starting rate.
- Freeze stops time but still lets you hand out skills, which is handy for careful timing. Pause (P) stops everything.
- Fast fast-forwards (3x, or 6x in Choices).
- Nuke (press twice) makes every Grokling a Fizzer and ends the level. Retry gives up the level and uses a try.
- A level also ends by itself when everyone left is a Stopper.
The levels
Twenty levels in four tiers: Easy Orbit (1–9, one skill at a time, very gentle), Tricky Moons (two skills together), Taxing Nebula (steel, faster release, more to save) and Mayhem Belt (everything you've learned).

Scoring
Every Grokling saved is worth 50. Clearing a level adds 500, plus 100 for each one saved over the target, 2 per second left on the clock, 20 for each skill you didn't use, and 1000 if you saved every one. Clear all twenty for 5000 plus 1000 per try left.
Fair scores
When you play under a registered name, the server picks the seed for your game and the page records only your inputs and when. When the game ends the server replays that record on its own copy (whole-number maths, so both give exactly the same result) and posts the score it gets. A score can't be typed in or edited, and each game can be posted once.
Autosave
If you close or reload the page in the middle of a game, it comes back paused exactly where you left it. There is no undo.
Leaderboards and chat
The High scores tab shows each player's best verified score and the number of levels cleared, and Overall shows the site-wide totals. Grok Chat pops up from the corner. Use Share on X at the top to tell your friends.
All names, levels, art and sounds are original, drawn and synthesized in code for this game.
