Grok Tetrominoes
An original falling-block puzzle in the Starport cargo bay. Blocks made of four squares drop into the well one at a time. Move and rotate them so they fill whole rows: full rows vanish and everything above drops down.
How to play
- Type a name and press Register once if you want your scores on the leaderboard. Without a name you play practice games.
- Press Start game (or Enter, or tap the playfield).
- Move with Left and Right (hold to slide), turn with Rotate or Back, speed up with Down and slam the block into place with Drop.
- The faint outline shows where the block will land. The next three blocks are shown on the right.
- The game ends when the stack reaches the top of the well.
Rules
- Every seven blocks you get one of each of the seven shapes, in a shuffled order, so you never wait too long for the long bar.
- A block that touches down waits about half a second before it locks, so you can still slide or turn it (up to 15 times).
- If a turn is blocked, the block tries nudging one or two squares sideways or up to fit.
- Difficulty ramps slowly. Level 1 drops one row per second. Every 10 lines the level goes up and the blocks fall a little faster, reaching 30 rows per second from level 20.
- A game ends after an hour of play.

Fair scores
When you play under a registered name, the server picks the random seed for your game and the page records only which controls you held and when. When the game ends the server replays that record on its own copy of the game rules and posts the score it gets. A score can't be typed in or edited, and each game can be posted once.
Autosave
If you close or reload the page in the middle of a game, it comes back paused exactly where you left it. There is no undo and no take-backs: a placed block stays placed.
Leaderboards and chat
The High scores tab shows each player's best verified score and lines, and Overall shows the site-wide totals. Grok Chat pops up from the corner. Use Share on X at the top to tell your friends.
