A fresh themed crossword every time. Fill in the grid from the clues, fast and with few hints.

Intro

Each puzzle is generated on the spot from the shared word bank, so you never get the same grid twice. Pick one of 12 themes (Animals, Space, Kitchen, Dungeon, Green Things, Ocean, Food, Sports, Science, Weather, Music and Geography) or Mixed, and a size: Small (about 8 words), Medium (about 12) or Large (about 16). Answers are 4 to 12 letters long.

How to play

1. Type your player name, pick a theme and a size, and press New puzzle. The timer starts.
2. Click a square (or a clue in the Across or Down list) and type. Click the same square again, or press Space or Enter, to switch between Across and Down.
3. The arrow keys move around the grid, Tab and Shift+Tab jump to the next or previous word, and Backspace erases.
4. Check marks wrong letters in red. Reveal letter fills in one square for −25. Finish & submit ends the puzzle early. Fill the whole grid correctly and it finishes by itself.

Scoring

100 points per solved word, minus 25 per revealed letter. Finishing the whole grid adds a time bonus: 2 points for every second under 45 seconds per word.

Leaderboards, groups and chat

Type a player name before you start. Add a group name (a team or crew) if you like: the leaderboards have Game, My group, Groups and Overall tabs. A live chat for this game sits beside the board (on a phone held upright it is tucked away; turn the phone sideways to see it). Use the Share on X button at the top to tell your friends, and when a game ends with a score you can share that too.
