An original 3D kingdom-building strategy game. Everything is drawn live with a self-hosted copy of three.js: smooth painted terrain with hills, snowy peaks, rivers and lakes with animated water, forests of instanced trees, dirt roads and plank bridges, towns that grow houses, towers, walls, farms, windmills and mines as you build, marching soldiers with waving banners in their kingdom colours, soft shadows, a sky that turns from day to dusk to starry night, seasons with autumn rain and winter snow, battle sparks and smoke, and glassy menus on top.
Your kingdom: every town yields gold, wood and food each turn; farms, lumber mills and gold mines add more, barracks unlock pikemen, knights and siege rams, and stone walls make a town hard to take. Upgrade towns to level 3 for more income and recruits. Soldiers eat: if food runs out they desert. Empty towns still fight back with their town watch.
War: armies march across plains and roads quickly, slowly through forest and hills, and only cross water on bridges. Battles last up to five rounds: archers loose a volley first, forests, hills, towns and walls help defenders, and rams smash town defences. Capture a rival capital and their whole kingdom falls to you.
The campaign: twelve chapters against House Varrow, the Mire Clans and the Duchy of Ost, from the gentle A Humble Crown to The High Throne. Goals are expanding to a number of towns, conquering every rival, or holding out for a number of turns. Four heroes join along the way (Aldric the Steady, Seren Swiftbow, Brannoc Ironhand, Ysolde of the Dawn) and grow stronger with every foe beaten. Crowns from chapters, stars and skirmish wins buy eight techs at the Academy.
Stars: one for winning a chapter, one for winning within par turns, one for losing no towns. Skirmish: choose map size, rivals and their strength. Daily scenario: one seeded war with random techs and a hero, the same for everyone.
Score = your best score on each chapter (towns, foes beaten, turns under par) + 500 per star + best skirmish + 2 per foe beaten, times the difficulty factor (Squire 1, Lord 1.25, Monarch 1.5). Log off from the throne room to post it.
Every session is a recorded input log that the server replays with the same integer rules, so scores are checked exactly. The game autosaves; there is no undo. Test bots playing like people took about 5 to 8 hours to finish the campaign; three stars everywhere takes longer.
