Grok Skyline

An original 3D city builder, drawn live with a self-hosted copy of three.js. Every tile of your town is a real building that grows as the district thrives: cottages become townhouses, apartments and residential towers; corner shops become office blocks and skyscrapers; workshops become smoking heavy works. Cars and trucks drive your roads, bridges span rivers, the sun crosses the sky and at night windows light up, streetlights glow and landmarks shine. Water shimmers, smoke rises from factories, fires burn, storms roll in and fireworks celebrate your festivals. A Graphics choice (Low, Medium, High) keeps it smooth on modest PCs, and it steps down by itself if the frame rate drops below 30.

Building: roads first (they cost upkeep), then Homes, Shops and Industry zones within two tiles of a road. Zones need power and water: power plants, solar farms and water towers have limited capacity. Police, fire stations, clinics, schools and parks cover a radius and make districts happier and taller; industry and power plants spread smog. Watch the R C I demand bars and the budget: taxes fund the city but slow growth.

Campaign: twelve charters, each a new map from Meadowbrook to Crown City, with goals for population, happiness, landmarks and treasury before a time limit. Finish fast for up to three stars. Eight landmarks, from Clocktower Plaza to the Skyline Spire, unlock along the way and bring joy and tourists. Disasters and events (fires, storms, heat waves, quakes, crime waves, festivals, grants, tourist booms) get more frequent on harder levels. A full campaign takes several hours. Sandbox gives you a big budget on any map, and the Daily city gives everyone the same map for 24 months.

Score = 1000 per charter star + 2000 per charter won + 600 per best landmark count + a twentieth of best populations + up to 2500 for your biggest sandbox city + 10000 for finishing the campaign, times the difficulty (Planner 1, Mayor 1.25, Visionary 1.5). Daily score = population + 40 per happiness point + 1500 per landmark + a fifth of the treasury. Every posted score is replayed on the server.
