Grok Frogger
An original road-and-river hopping game. Get your frog across five lanes of traffic and a river of drifting logs and diving turtles, and fill all five home bays before the timer runs out.
How to play
- Type a name and press Register once if you want your scores on the leaderboard. Without a name you play practice games.
- Press Start game (or Enter, or tap the playfield).
- Hop with the arrow keys, W A S D, the on-screen buttons or a swipe on the playfield. Each press is one hop.
- Cross the road without being hit, then ride the logs and turtles across the river. Landing in the water drowns your frog.
- Hop into an empty home bay at the top. Fill all five to clear the level.
Rules
- You start with 3 frogs. You lose one if a vehicle hits you, you fall in the water, a log carries you off the side, you hit the bank between bays, you jump into a full bay, or the timer runs out. You earn one extra frog at 10,000 points.
- Each frog has 45 seconds, shown by the bar under the playfield. It refills when a frog gets home or a new frog starts.
- Some turtle groups dive. They sink a little first (still safe to stand on), then go under. If you are on them when they go under, you drown.
- A fly sometimes lands in an empty bay. Get home in that bay to eat it for a bonus.
- After each cleared level all traffic, logs and turtles move 12% faster, up to level 10.

Fair scores
When you play under a registered name, the server picks the random seed for your game and the page records only your hops and their timing. When the game ends the server replays that record on its own copy of the game rules and posts the score it gets, so a score can't be typed in or edited. Each game can be posted once. Your name is protected by a key kept in this browser; if you clear your browser data you need to register a new name.
Leaderboards and chat
The High scores tab shows each player's best verified score and level, and Overall shows the site-wide totals. Grok Chat sits in the corner: press it to talk to other players. Use Share on X at the top to tell your friends.
All art and sounds are drawn and synthesized in code for this game. Two looks are available in Choices: Classic (road and river) and Starport (a neon spaceport with a plasma stream).
