Buttons, keys or drag. Use whichever feels best.

Buttons, mouse and touch
| Do this | What happens |

| Hold a blue ▲ or ▼ button | Moves the left (your) paddle while held |
| Hold a pink ▲ or ▼ button | Moves the right paddle (2 Players only) |
| Middle button | Pause or resume (starts a match when none is running) |
| Move the mouse or drag a finger on the court | The paddle follows to that height. In 2 Players the left half of the court moves the left paddle and the right half the right paddle. |
| Tap the message box | Start, rematch or resume |
Top bar and panels
| Control | What it does |
|---|
| Vs Computer / 2 Players | Switches the opponent. Switching ends a match in progress. |
| Choices | A menu that stays open until you close it: Pause, New match, Sound, Match length (first to 7, 11 or 21) and the theme (Classic or Neon). |
| Grok plays as | Cadet, Pilot, Captain, Admiral or Grandmaster, for the next match. |
| Register / change | Claims your name for Grok Pong scores in this browser, or forgets it. |
| Start match / Restart / Play again | Begins a new match. Restarting abandons the current one without posting it. |
The match pauses by itself when you switch to another tab.
