Grok Checkers: commands

Everything is a click or a tap. There is nothing to type except your name.

On the board

Do this	What happens
Click one of your pieces	Selects it and shows where it can go: dots for moves, rings for jumps. Pieces that can move glow softly; when a capture is available only the pieces that can capture glow.
Click a highlighted square	Plays the move, or makes one hop of a jump.
Multi-jump	After each hop the next landing squares light up. Click them one by one until the chain is done.
Click another piece, an empty square, or press Esc	Clears the selection (also part-way through a multi-jump, before its last hop).
Tab, then Enter or Space	Keyboard play: move between squares and pick one.

Top bar

Button	What it does
Vs Computer / Online	Switch between playing Grok and playing real people. Each keeps its own game.
Choices	Opens a menu that stays open until you close it: New game, Resign, Flip board, Sound, Square numbers, Show movable pieces, and the board theme (Starport, Nebula, Walnut, Mars).

Resign, and New game in the middle of a game, ask you to press twice so a slip cannot end your game. There is no undo.

Vs Computer panel

Your name (for the leaderboard), Grok's level (Cadet, Pilot, Captain, Admiral, Grandmaster), your colour (Black, White, Random) and Start game. During a game: Resign and New game.

Online tab

Button	What it does
Join the lobby	Registers your online name in this browser (shared with Grok Chess).
Send challenge	Posts a challenge to anyone, or to the player picked in the list, with your colour and clock.
Accept / Play / Decline / Cancel	Answer challenges, or withdraw your own.
Play / View (your games)	Opens a game on the board.
Resign / Offer draw / Accept / Decline	In an online game, in the left panel.
Back to the lobby	Leaves the board view. Your game keeps going on the server.

Moves are written with the standard square numbers 1 to 32: 11-15 is a move, 15x24 a jump and 15x24x31 a double jump.
